Update: Monday 19 January
Expressions of interest for the voluntary redundancy scheme have now closed.
All expressions of interest where the individual has indicated that they wish to convert it to a full application will be sent to the relevant Executive to review and consider ahead of the approval panel. Where individuals have asked for a further conversation before their Expression of Interest is converted to an application, those conversations will happen shortly.

Settlement agreement
Any person leaving under VR will be required to enter into a legally binding settlement agreement.
To obtain independent legal advice before signing the settlement agreement, you have a number of options of how to seek this advice and be provided with a financial contribution subject to the settlement agreement becoming a binding agreement:
- The cluster is currently in the process of procuring an independent legal firm. More information will follow when this is complete.
- You can obtain your own advice from a relevant independent adviser (who is a qualified lawyer). If you do this, the cluster will make a financial contribution of up to £500 + VAT on receipt of an invoice from the relevant independent adviser. This financial contribution towards legal fees will be in relation to those incurred exclusively in connection with the settlement agreement. Making sure the scheme is fair and equitable
Measures are in place to make sure that no colleagues receive less favourable treatment when submitting an EOI for voluntary redundancy on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, or on the grounds of trade union membership.
An Equality Impact Assessment (EqIA) has been developed which looks at any positive or adverse impact(s) of voluntary redundancy on protected characteristic groups. We will continue to develop this in consultation with our trade union colleagues, and throughout the process.
